Due to the increasing need to use the power supplies that feed all equipment included in the system in fire detection scenarios and integration applications, which have recently increased in the fire detection system, and the EN54-4 compliance requirements of all equipment included in the fire detection system, UPS function power supply needs with battery charging have occurred.


TYPICAL USE

Beam / Beam detectors, Early fire detection devices / air sampling devices, Other systems integrated into the fire system, air evacuation systems, External sounder systems or any device that fulfills a mandatory function of the fire alarm system to work uninterruptedly and in accordance with EN 54-4 standards is used for.

  1. Status LEDs on the power supply

  2. 1 flash = Mains Failure.

  3. 2 flashes = Low Battery Voltage.

  4. 3 flashes = Battery Voltage Critical.

  5. 4 flashes = Charger Failure.

  6. 5 flashes = Charger OK (Battery is actively charging or float charging)

  7. 6 flashes = No Battery Installed (DIP Indicates Switch 4 position).

  8. 7 flashes = Battery Resistance Error (Level set by DIP Switch 2 position).

  9. 8 flashes = Output Overvoltage.

  10. Battery Failure

  11. It must monitor the battery resistance according to EN54-4 / A2. The failure threshold is directly related to the ability of the battery to deliver the rated current to the load. For example, batteries that have not been charged for an extended period of time during shipping and / or distribution will drop causing an increase in internal resistance. If a degraded battery is installed, an error will be displayed by the PSU as specified by EN54-4 / A2.

  12. Data Transfer Out

  13. Data on the status of the switch mode power supplies that will provide uninterrupted energy to the fire system can be exported from the PSU's bidirectional data port. Available data includes thermistor measurements; battery pole voltage; system voltage at load terminals; battery charge current; load current; battery impedance and ASCII text string status messages. The use of these data can be provided with additional equipment. Power supplies have models suitable for use in all weak current systems where uninterrupted and controlled power is required.
